For many seniors (and our residents, too), fall is a favorite season.  They love the break from the heat and watching the leaves fall from their patios and balconies.  Here are a few fun and easy decorating tips to add an autumn feel to your living space, without breaking the bank or investing a lot of energy.

First Impressions   Pick up a small wreath (faux leaves are a great choice) and a metal hanger to add instant charm to the front door of your home or apartment.  It’s an easy and affordable way to make a big impact, even in a small space.

Fake It to Make It   Nothing says “fall” as much as pumpkins, but they can be heavy and expensive.  Consider plastic or ceramic pumpkins to display in windows or as a centerpiece.  They can be reused from year to year – plus, they look like the real thing!

Get Cozy   Adding a few small pillows and a fluffy throw to your couch can make the whole room look cozier.  Choose items with warm colors such as tan, orange, and maroon or a fun buffalo-plaid print.  Complete the look with a few battery-powered flameless candles.
